Services

Please bring your unsigned document(s) and a valid government-issued photo ID. We are not attorneys and cannot provide legal advice, prepare documents, or interpret your document — only witness your signature. Estate documents (wills, POAs, trusts) and real estate closings must be prepared and overseen by your attorney before your appointment. Foreign-language documents can be notarized when the signer understands the content and can communicate with us in English.

Suffield Notary, Signing & Fingerprinting is a Connecticut-commissioned notary public service. We are not attorneys and cannot provide legal advice, draft legal documents, or interpret the contents of documents we notarize. Our role is strictly limited to verifying the identity of signers, witnessing signatures, and affixing our notary seal as authorized under Connecticut General Statutes Chapter 6.
By scheduling an appointment, you acknowledge that you have read or will read the document being notarized, understand its contents, and are signing it of your own free will. If you have questions about what a document means or its legal effect, please consult a licensed attorney before your appointment.
Fingerprinting services provide ink-rolled FD-258 fingerprint cards only. We do not process background checks, submit fingerprints to any agency, or guarantee acceptance by the requesting agency. Card submission and processing are the responsibility of the client.
Apostille services are limited to courier and processing assistance through the Connecticut Secretary of State. We are not affiliated with the Secretary of State's office and cannot guarantee processing timeframes or document acceptance by foreign governments.
Loan signing services are provided as a Certified Notary Signing Agent. We do not provide mortgage advice, explain loan terms, or represent any lender, title company, or borrower in any legal capacity.

1. Not Legal Advice
Suffield Notary, Signing & Fingerprinting is not a law firm and our staff are not attorneys. We do not provide legal advice, prepare legal documents, interpret the contents of documents, recommend whether to sign a document, or advise on the legal effect of any document. Connecticut General Statutes prohibit notaries who are not licensed attorneys from engaging in the unauthorized practice of law. For legal questions, please consult a Connecticut-licensed attorney.
2. Scope of Notary Services
Our notary services are limited to:
• Verifying the identity of signers using government-issued photo identification
• Witnessing signatures
• Administering oaths and affirmations where required
• Affixing the notary seal and signature
• Recording the notarial act in our notary journal
We do not certify the truthfulness, accuracy, or legality of any document we notarize. The notary seal certifies only the identity of the signer and that the signature was made willingly in our presence.
3. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
• Bring valid, unexpired government-issued photo identification (driver's license, passport, state ID, or military ID)
• Bring unsigned documents — documents must be signed in the presence of the notary
• Be physically and mentally capable of understanding the act of signing
• Sign of their own free will without coercion
• Provide truthful information about their identity and the document
We reserve the right to refuse service if we cannot verify identity, if the signer appears impaired, if signs of duress or coercion are present, or if any aspect of the transaction violates Connecticut notary law.
4. Fingerprinting Disclaimer
Fingerprinting services consist of rolling ink-based fingerprints onto FBI Form FD-258 cards or equivalent. We are not a Live Scan provider and do not transmit fingerprints electronically to any agency. We are not affiliated with the FBI, CT State Police, or any other government agency. We do not process, submit, or track background checks. Acceptance of completed fingerprint cards by the requesting agency is solely the responsibility of the client. We are not liable for rejected fingerprint cards if proper procedures were followed at the time of rolling.
5. Apostille Disclaimer
Apostille services are limited to acting as a courier and processing agent between the client and the Connecticut Secretary of State. We are not affiliated with the Secretary of State or any government agency. Apostille processing timeframes (typically 5–7 business days) are estimates and subject to government processing schedules outside our control. We are not liable for delays caused by the Secretary of State's office, the U.S. Department of State, or foreign government acceptance.
6. Loan Signing Disclaimer
Loan signing services are provided as a certified Notary Signing Agent (NSA). The NSA's role is limited to identifying signers, witnessing signatures, and ensuring documents are completed accurately for the title company or lender. NSAs do not:
• Provide legal advice or interpret loan documents
• Explain loan terms, interest rates, or financial implications
• Negotiate on behalf of any party
• Represent the lender, title company, escrow officer, or borrower

7. I-9 Employment Verification Disclaimer
As a USCIS-trained Authorized Representative and Connecticut Notary Public, we complete Section 2 of Form I-9 for your remote employees. The process takes 15 minutes: the employee brings original List A documents (or List B + List C), we verify and complete Section 2, then email the completed form to your HR team the same day. $75 flat — no subscriptions, no minimums.
8. Payment, Cancellation, and Refunds
Payment is due at the time of booking or service. Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance receive a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours and no-shows are non-refundable. Same-day and after-hours appointments are subject to a $50 surcharge. Connecticut state law caps individual notarial acts at $5; additional service fees (appointment, travel, document review) are not regulated by statute.
9. Confidentiality
We treat all client information as confidential. We do not retain copies of documents we notarize except as required by Connecticut law in our notary journal (signer name, date, document type, and identification used). We do not share client information with third parties except as required by law or court order.
10. Limitation of Liability
The maximum liability of Suffield Notary, Signing & Fingerprinting and Natural Corporate Curls LLC for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory of the claim.
11. Errors and Omissions Insurance
We carry Errors and Omissions (E&O) insurance for the protection of our clients. Proof of insurance is available upon request.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Hartford County, Connecticut.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms at any time. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
